What is AI Tool Finder?

A directory built to end the search, not extend it.

There are tens of thousands of AI tools and most lists just dump them at you. AI Tool Finder does the sorting first: every tool is placed by hand into one primary category, described in a sentence you can actually act on, and tagged with the practical details - what it costs, where it runs, whether there's an API. Tell it what you need, get a shortlist.

🗂️

Curated, not scraped

Each entry is written and placed by a person. No auto-generated filler, no dead links padding the count.

🎯

One tool, one home

348 tools across 31 categories and 322 subcategories. Because every tool has a single primary category, browsing never shows you the same product four times.

Filter by what actually matters

Price, platform, API, licence, skill level, audience and input type - so you can go from hundreds of options to the handful that fit your setup.

How to Make Money with AI Tools

Seven paths people are actually earning from - with what each one takes, roughly what it pays, and the part nobody puts in the thumbnail.

Back to tools →

Four things that are true of every path above

  • None of it is passive. Every path here is a business with customers, delivery and support. The tools cut production time; they don't remove the work of finding someone who will pay.
  • Cheap to produce means cheap to copy. If a tool made your output easy, it made your competitor's easy too. The defensible part is the taste, the relationship or the niche knowledge around it.
  • Check the licence in your whole delivery chain. Plenty of free tiers forbid commercial use, and some train on your inputs. One non-compliant tool taints the deliverable.
  • Disclose where it's required. Marketplaces, publishers and a growing number of clients have AI-disclosure rules, and undisclosed work gets delisted or clawed back.

Figures are rough order-of-magnitude ranges gathered from public marketplace and freelance data - they're for orientation, not a forecast, and they vary enormously by niche, region and skill. Nothing here is financial or legal advice; check the terms of any tool and platform yourself before you sell work made with it.
