What’s the maximum amount of text I can generate?

For non-subscribed users, the platform allows up to 2,500 characters per request, while subscribed users can generate up to 5,000 characters. Your monthly character limit is based on your subscription level. To view your current usage, visit the subscription page under your profile.

Can the content I generate be used for commercial purposes?

Users on the free tier are required to credit ElevenLabs by adding elevenlabs.com in the title when publishing content created on our platform.

Paid account holders are exempt from this, as they have a commercial use license for content crafted with the default voices.

You hold accountability for all content uploaded and produced on the platform and any repercussions of sharing them elsewhere. If in doubt about the legality of publishing content with a cloned voice, we suggest reviewing your local copyright laws before proceeding.

How do I know how many characters I have remaining?

To change your subscription:

1. Sign in to the Platform.
2. Click on your profile icon at the top right of the screen.
3. From the drop-down menu, select 'Subscription'.
4. Pick the plan you wish to upgrade or downgrade to. For Enterprise-level pricing inquiries, please reach out to us directly.

How do I change my subscription plan?

Sign in to the Platform and click on your profile icon in the upper right corner. From the drop-down, select 'Subscription'.

From there, pick your desired plan or reach out to us for details on Enterprise-level pricing.

Am I charged for every request?

We deduct from your character quota each time you click 'Generate', not when you download. So every generation request impacts your available characters.

What is the billing interval?

You'll be billed monthly, starting from the date of your subscription. Feel free to cancel your subscription whenever you choose.

At which point in time can I cancel my subscription?

You have the freedom to cancel your subscription whenever you wish. Once the current billing cycle ends, your subscription won't renew and you'll revert back to the Free tier.

What happens to my unused characters at the end of the month?

Characters that are not used within the month won't carry forward to the following month. With every renewal of your subscription, your character count is refreshed.

But, if you decide to move to a more advanced plan, the remaining characters from your prior plan will be added to your next billing period.

How can I lower the API streaming latency?

To decrease the initial audio byte latency to 850ms (when accessed from the US), incorporate the optimize_streaming_latency=[optimization_level] parameter into your streaming TTS endpoint.

Set the optimization_level as an integer between 0 and 4.

1. 0 (default) = No optimization.
2. 1 = Some optimization.
3. 2 = More optimization.
4. 3 = Max optimization.
5. 4 = Max optimizations & text normalizer off.

Do you have a pay as you go option?

Many of our plans provide a pay-as-you-go billing option, letting you exceed the plan's quota and only pay for what you use. To activate this feature, navigate to Profile > Subscription and select 'Enable Usage-Based Billing'.

Do you offer multi-account management or SSO?

We're currently developing that feature and will offer support for it in the near future.

Is there a limit on how many times I can edit / add / remove voices?

Indeed, your subscription tier dictates the monthly limits for voice operations, which includes both adding new voices and editing existing ones:

• Starter: 65 operations
• Creator: 95 operations
• Independent Publisher: 290 operations
• Growing Business: 1040 operations.

What is Professional Voice Cloning?

Professional Voice Cloning (PVC) differs from Instant Voice Cloning (IVC), which quickly clones voices from brief samples. PVC focuses on creating a highly realistic voice model by training extensively on a vast dataset, resulting in a voice clone nearly identical to the original.

Since these custom models undergo rigorous fine-tuning, it takes time before your voice clone is accessible. The exact duration is hard to pinpoint due to factors like the waiting queue. However, a ballpark figure is around 2-4 weeks, given that we process the model at least monthly based on demand. While we aim to complete it sooner, this is a general estimate.
